Clarence graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music (hons) before founding Theater of Sound. In 2011, he led his band Juanophobia to win the Passport to Fame Battle of the Bands Championship. He has played for the New Year’s Eve celebration at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach and was named Best Musical Director at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre Short and Sweet musical competition in 2012. He is a former Sony Artist and considers himself a work in progress.
Vijay keeps himself in check, otherwise the windows in KL Tower would be long gone. With over three decades’ experience performing at live events, he is a giant in the local industry. In 1989, Vijay won the prestigious Top of the Pubs Carlsberg competition. He featured at the Bukit Jalil Stadium opening in 1998 and performed the opening act for American rock band Toto in 2008. He has also appeared at numerous company functions for firms such as Maxis, DiGi and Salem. Vijay has performed with artists like Paul Ponudorai, Sudirman, Ning Baizura and Sheila Majid and says his greatest experience has been and continues to be working with the young generation.
Born in Kuala Lumpur and accredited by Trinity College London, Cammy is a performer with a heart for teaching. She is adept at both classical and contemporary styles and performs for select audiences at functions such as weddings and company events. Cammy’s approach to teaching is based on the belief that everybody can play music, they just need proper practice and guidance. Her methods, partnered with her energetic personality, have motivated many students – adults and children alike – to develop and hone their musical abilities.
Muhammad Syahmi (Eimy)
Eimy started down the road to music at the age of nine and has never looked back. Now with a whopping 17 years’ experience, he can safely say that he made the right choice in doing so. He worked for three years as an artistic director and composer in BLOK D studio and has won the Ghazal Remaja International competition three years in a row. He has a Grade 7 certification in classical guitar from Yamaha School and taught at Jabatan Kebudayaan NS for two years. Although Eimy specializes in guitar, he is proficient in several different instruments including traditional instruments such as gambus, gamelan, accordion and many more.
A professional musician and performer, PJ has played the guitar for 8 years, working with numerous bands around the Klang Valley area and making frequent appearances at bar scenes and wedding gigs. He participated in the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre Short and Sweet musical competition in 2012 and was featured in the annual Frequenc concert 2013. A psychology graduate, PJ specializes in the field of educational psychology and has taught guitar for 2 years while continuing to perform on a regular basis.
